Timely, reliable and disaggregated data are fundamental to safeguarding children’s rights. Robust evidence enables us to design effective policies, allocate resources strategically, and monitor progress towards national and global commitments. Addressing child protection violations — including violence against children and women, child marriage, female genital mutilation and child labour — requires understanding of how data are collected and how they can be effectively utilized. This webinar series aims to increase awareness and strengthen knowledge of the availability and scope of child protection data collected through MICS and promote use of data for evidence-based programming, policy development and advocacy.
