Building Stronger National Data Systems to End Child Labour (video)

Data can light the way to a future free from child labour. When used effectively, data can foster accountability and guide decision-making about ways to eliminate child labour. But to do so, we must collect data sustainably and coordinate its integration into national statistical systems. This calls for careful planning of the survey’s scope and periodicity, thoughtful analysis of sample size and design, and inclusive coverage of the child population, especially those affected by conflict, disasters and displacement. Ensuring that child labour in all its forms is documented with solid data is the first step towards its elimination.
