Education Learning Gradient: Wealth gaps in foundational skills 

This dashboard is one of two in the Education Learning Gradient series, which presents estimates of foundational reading and numeracy outcomes using the same data and analytical approach applied in the Learning starts here: Which children are gaining foundational skills? story. Results are shown for individual countries and groups of countries, allowing users to explore disparities in learning outcomes across household wealth groups.

The dashboard focuses on wealth-related gaps in foundational skills, showing differences in reading and numeracy outcomes across wealth quintiles and grade bands, spanning primary and lower secondary education. It supports comparison across, regions, and contexts, helping to highlight how learning inequalities evolve as children progress through school.

Users can choose between median or mean estimates, view weighted or unweighted results, and display either raw values or smoothed trends. These options allow users to examine both observed disparities and broader patterns in learning outcomes across wealth groups. Filters allow further exploration by population group, region, income level, and data inclusion thresholds.
