Adolescence is a pivotal stage that shapes health, wellbeing, and development across the life course. This dashboard presents, for the first time, a unified and standardized view of adolescent health across countries, guided by the Global Action for Measurement of Adolescent Health (GAMA) indicator framework. The framework promotes harmonized measurement at global, regional, and national levels to support evidence-based action. Youth, country stakeholders and technical experts were engaged throughout its development to ensure that their perspectives and priorities are reflected.
The dashboard helps users assess progress, identify gaps, and inform decision-making concerning the health of adolescents aged 10–19 years. It currently includes 200 countries which review and consult on many global estimates as part of the UNICEF Global Database process. In future iterations, there are plans to include nationally available data that may not be reported into global repositories. Complete details, such as indicator definitions and data sources, are available in the tooltips.
